Settle Into Stillness is a sanctuary of sound and human connection, where music becomes a meeting place for presence, reflection and transformation. It was founded by Jeremy Arndt and Nancy Grzeszak, whose paths converged in 2011 and sparked a shared passion for yoga and music. That passion grew into years of travel and Sound Journeys shared on six continents.
In their Sound Journeys, they weave together handpan, didgeridoo, gong, flute, synthesizers, singing bowls and more to create spacious soundscapes for reflection and connection. They describe a Sound Journey as more than a sound bath: a guided inward experience carried by emotion, nuance, intention and artistry. Participants are gently led in and gently guided out, so the experience has a beginning, middle and end, much like a story or ceremony. They say the result is not "sound healing" but a space where each listener can cultivate their own inner awareness and inner guide.
Along the way they have learned from master musicians, teachers and cultures who generously shared their artistry and wisdom, and they say those relationships continue to shape every Sound Journey. They describe their work as the result of slow, organic growth: thousands of hours of practice, listening, study, performance and travel. Their music has been streamed by millions, and they have offered international retreats since 2016.
Nancy has explored yoga, meditation and sound since 2004, with a particular love of Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Prairie Yoga in 2014, Relax and Renew Level 1 certification with Judith Hanson Lasater in 2017, and Lizzie Lasater's 30-hour Restorative Yoga training in 2019. Within the project she shares the sound of gongs and crystal singing bowls.
