Alexander James McLean: The Better Man Tour

After a defining career in one of music's most iconic groups, AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys is stepping into a new chapter—one of vulnerability, authenticity, and genuine human connection. The Better Man Tour marks his solo North American journey in support of his debut album, My Name Is Alexander James, a work born from the intention to shed the performance armor and reveal the man beneath the decades-long persona. This is not a nostalgia tour; it's an intimate invitation to witness an artist in transformation, performing in carefully selected theaters and music halls rather than sprawling arenas, creating space for real presence and exchange.

Across intimate venues from October through December 2026, McLean will share songs and stories that chart his path toward wholeness and self-reclamation. Whether you've followed his journey since the '90s or you're encountering him as a solo artist for the first time, this tour honors both legacy and evolution. The Better Man Tour is a rare opportunity to sit with an artist committed to showing up authentically—no filters, no massive production—just the transformative power of live music in a room full of seekers.

What to Expect

Expect an evening of music rooted in genuine self-discovery. McLean will perform from My Name Is Alexander James alongside reimagined reflections on his artistic path, delivered in the warmth and intimacy of theater settings designed for connection. The setlist and storytelling create an arc of vulnerability—inviting audiences into the internal work behind the outer transformation. You'll leave having witnessed not just a performance, but an artist's act of courage: choosing authenticity over armor, and presence over persona.
