Aimee Griffith is a yoga and meditation teacher, devoted student and mother of two, based on the Gold Coast, Australia. She has practised yoga and nurtured a daily meditation practice for over 20 years, and describes both as powerful tools for healing and for keeping a connection home to ourselves: body, mind and heart.
She is a devoted practitioner of Traditional Hatha Yoga in the Sri Vidya lineage and the founder of The Dharma House, a Traditional Hatha Yoga studio in Mudgeeraba, Queensland. Her classes draw on the Moon, Sun, Fire practice philosophy and the idea of "Sarvangha Sadhana", a complete practice that brings together postures, breath and meditation, with mantra in her gentle classes. Sequences are shaped by their energetic effect: calming and stabilising, uplifting and vitalising, or illuminating. She also offers private sessions and, in her words, supports people in finding their own personal practice, which looks different for everyone.
Aimee has completed over 1000 hours of yoga and meditation study with teachers including Brad Hay, Rod Stryker (ParaYoga), Michael King and the teachers of The Practice in Bali. Her areas of study include traditional hatha, Tantric and Vedantic meditation, breathwork, vinyasa flow and yin yoga. She also holds a Cert IV in Youth Studies and has 20 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, program management and community engagement.
She mentors yoga teachers and curious students one-on-one, helping them build a sustainable daily sadhana, weave philosophy and mantra into their classes, and teach in their own authentic voice. Her Dharma Align program guides people through a personalised 40-day practice. When she is not teaching, she is usually studying or at the beach with her family.
